A co-panel of historians and descendants of Monticello’s enslaved families discussed the migration from Monticello to Charlottesville’s Main Street and beyond upon emancipation. Historian Cinder Stanton’s research and lecture was the main draw at this event, which also featured Peggy Trotter Preacely and Cauline Yates II.
